Although Germany didn't look it, he felt like a nervous wreck. The country of (Name) is coming to watch the cultural life in Germany. So far, everything was fine and (Name) seemed to be having the time of her life. A surprise rainstorm came in so they had to return for the day. So here we are now with Germany, having no idea what to cook for the said small nation. He let out a sigh slicking back his hair. As he did so, (Name) walked in and went to the fridge. She pulled out a few items before looking spices in the cabinets.

"I hope you don't mind," she started reaching up on her tip toes to get a certain spice. "But, this is my way of repaying for short notice on my visit. Sometimes I wonder what goes through my leaders head." she sighed and turned to him with a confident smirk that could rival Prussias'.

"I won't take no for an answer, besides, I know you haven't been feeding yourself well the last few days."

It was true. He had been so caught up with training Italy that he has forgot to treat himself right. He could never hide it from (Name), they were childhood friends. A small smile crossed over his lips as she let out a giggle. So, they had (Favorite dish) for dinner.

It was now night time and the rain still carried on for the night, Germany laid awake in his bed. He couldn't go to sleep, or for the matter, calm down after the dinner (Name) made. It's been such a long time since he seen his best friend smile. They had been separated and reunited. Ever since Germany was little, he always had the need to protect (Name), so he was glad when he found her again. She was so happy she cried he noted. He let out a small chuckle at the memories when the two of them were little. Lighting flashes lights up his room. He saw a shadow coming from his doorway only to go away when lighting went away. Then again closer to his bed. It lit up the room, but this time, nothing was there. He glared out into his room looking for any movement. Once lighting cracked outside.

"Germany." a voice called for him and he nearly jumped out of his bed from shock. Giggles were heard before the light were turned on to see (Name) doubled over in laughter.

"S-sorry for laughing, b-but you should have seen your face!" she finally let out loud laughs. (Name) calmed down and smiled slightly looking down at her feet. She looked as if she was fighting down her pride for a minute. 'Same old (Name).' Germany thought fixing his covers smiling slightly.

"Ja, what is it, (Name)?" he asked slightly irritated.

"Will you..." She started of strong but in the end, she mumbled.

"Do what?" Germany asked eying her.

"I said, 'Would you...'" yet again mumbled.

"Was?" this time using their native tongue.

"Would..you please stay up and talk with me?" she snarled losing her patience. Not with him, but with her self for being so, shy about topics like this.

"Ja." he said scooting over making her. Timidly, (Name)turned and walked over and laid down next him. Both were blushing and looking away. (Name) thought she should lighten the tension in the air.

"Hey, Ludwig, remember when we kids and we pulled a prank on Gilbert for payback?" she said laughing slightly remembering how Gilbert was somewhat proud for them pulling it off and mad for being the target at the same time. Ludwig cracked a smile at that.

"Ja, I also remember the time he got us back for that."

That was start of their night. They stayed up for about two and a half hours catching up with things until (Name) got tired and snuggled deeper into the covers. She felt her face heat up with the words that were about to leave her mouth, but she decided that there's no going back.

"Ludwig, Ich liebe dich." she said closing her eyes waiting for the worst. A few minutes of silence passed before she felt soft lips on cheek and a arm wrapped around her waist.

"Ich liebe dich, auch." Germany whispered into (Name) ear cuddling into her back side.
